About the job Overview Position Manager - Accounting Job Code Reports to Director of Accounting Direct Reports Staff Accountants Division Accounting & Reporting Department Corporate Services Finance Role Purpose Manages the general ledger structure: on-going maintenance and adherence to financial policies, procedures and controls, to ensure that organization’s financial system provides reliable and trusted data for financial reporting; Responsible to ensure a risk-focused level of critical review is applied to data being processed through the general ledger system, including development, interpretation, and implementation of policy impacting organization’s financial reporting. Key Responsibilities KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES In charge of Month end close process and deadlines Ongoing finance system development and upgrade, to optimize the GL structure; Contribute to accounting policy development and review; Develop the GL team to maintain and enhance a high level of critical review, monitor KPIs for the team Identify and implement improvements key initiatives to the GL process Maintenance of the GL hierarchy structure Provide support month end quarterly year end reporting external audit process as required Undertake other projects duties determined by management Finance Accounting department Contribute development organization wide controls accuracy integrity all financial information used for financial reporting Maintain update appropriate policies procedures Ensure fair ethical professional work practices accordance NEOM’s values code conduct Works closely coordinates managers Accounting organization meet deadlines ensure accuracy financial records Develop maintain collaborative working relationships team department colleagues wider organization.
