We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounts team under the guidance of the Assistant Finance Director. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and periodic reporting while also overseeing performance management for both the team and business units. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include full ownership of the Trial Balance and all related accounts, accurate reporting on business activities, periodic financial reporting such as group consolidation and variance analysis, as well as compliance reporting on matters like statutory accounts and VAT across multiple tax jurisdictions.
Additionally, you will review purchase orders as part of the procure-to-pay process, actively engage in new business ideas or pilots, mentor team members to enhance their skillsets, challenge existing processes for efficiency improvements within the department, recommend system developments impacting accounting processes, and align financial reports with business strategy to drive positive change. The ideal candidate should possess qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CPA certification along with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the industry is required along with strong knowledge of IFRS standards and FTA requirements.
