We are currently seeking a skilled BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Project Engineer to join our HPS team at our Cannon Hill, QLD office. As a BESS Project Engineer at Honeywell, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers to lead technical project teams and execute engineering for Battery Energy Storage System projects across Australia, New Zealand, and PNG. Your responsibilities will include preparing design documents such as SLDs for electrical networks, developing sizing calculations for BESS equipment, creating energy management system documentation, designing integration systems for various applications, among other key tasks.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from an accredited university. Additionally, possessing National Engineering Register certification (e.g., RPEQ or NER) and Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) for BESS design would be advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, or microgrid industry is required. The role may involve up to 25% travel nationally and/or internationally; thus strong time management skills are essential.
