We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to partner with our VP of Technology in leading our engineering teams. As the Head of Engineering at Spacetalk, you will drive technical strategy, scale engineering teams across disciplines like frontend, backend, DevOps, and mobile platforms. You will lead the transition to modern TypeScript architecture while ensuring a smooth migration from legacy systems. This role is crucial in shaping Spacetalk's technology landscape and building a team that delivers world-class AI-driven safety solutions.
In this position, you will lead a high-performing engineering team by mentoring them across various disciplines and driving technical strategy aligned with business goals. You will establish an innovative engineering culture focused on collaboration and excellence while ensuring efficiency through optimized processes. Your responsibilities will include developing scalable applications using modern tech stacks like TypeScript for front-end & mobile platforms and NodeJS for back-end infrastructure.
Collaboration with Product, Design, Data Science teams is essential to deliver customer-focused features. You will work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure data security standards compliance and collaborate with external partners for API integrations into health ecosystems. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering roles with strong AWS proficiency in Lambda, DynamoDB among other requirements listed.
