ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant reporting to the Director of Finance responsible for the accounting of every day transactions. Actively assist the finance team in the discharging of all required deliverables and reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage all accounting transactions
Preparation of the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
Reconciliation of all appropriate accounts
Responsible for assisting in payable activities and proper filing of documents
Ensure all asset coding, identification is up to date and maintain fixed asset register
Preparation of bank reconciliations, performance of cash counts
Assist in monthly and year-end closing processes, preparation of monthly management reports, in compliance with IFRS and laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain
Assist in coordinating in coordination of the annual audit
Perform other tasks as required from time to time
Preparation of monthly VAT return
Tracking and monitoring financial performance of all school activities

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Strong accounting knowledge and skill
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated abilities in Excel
Analytical expertise and a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
The ability to develop strong working relationships
Strong organizational skills
Works well under pressure
Fluent in English and Arabic (is a plus).
