Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our clients team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all commercial activities within the marine sector, with a primary focus on ship repair services. As a key member of our management team, the Senior Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in driving business growth, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of commercial strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets within the marine sector.
Identify new business opportunities and market trends within the marine industry, leveraging insights to expand our client base and enhance our service offerings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Lead negotiations for contracts, agreements, and service arrangements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for our company.
Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of commercial activities and compliance with relevant regulations.
Monitor and analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify risks and opportunities, informing strategic decision-making.
Prepare and present regular reports and updates to senior management, providing insights into commercial performance, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
Mentor and support junior commercial staff, fostering their professional development and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field; MBA or relevant post-graduate qualifications preferred.
Proven track record of at least 7 years in commercial management roles within the marine sector, with a focus on ship related services.
Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and negotiation techniques, with a demonstrated ability to drive successful outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret market data and financial information to inform decision-making.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
