Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Manama, Bahrain
Summary
Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions and shareholders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting.
Oversea and direct budgeting at Group level; including strategic financial planning (5 years), annual, monthly and daily control.
Analyze operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution and determines their financial impact.
Daily, Monthly and Annual control of the budget vs actual.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Appraise the organizations financial position and issue periodic reports on the organizations financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
Monthly reporting of the Interim Financial with the analysis per company and at consolidated level.
Monthly reporting of the projects profitability and analysis.
Periodic reporting of the lending relationships and daily reconcilement.
Periodic reporting of:
Aging Payables and management of the advances.
Intercompany Reconcilement.
Working with the concerned department in maintaining the accurate financial of Fixed Assets and Inventories.
Monthly reporting through the team of the position of Fixed Assets and Inventories.
Initiatives to cost control and appraise company's financial position.
Take initiatives in analyzing the overall companies performance compared to cost and propose areas of improvements in coordination with other departments.
Coordinate with Commercial management for the effective pricing.
Coordinate with Operations team and Commercial team for the cost control.
Compliance to Policies & Procedures
Setting the Finance/Accounts departments policies and procedures.
Ensuring of compliance to the policies and procedures by the team.
Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, countries legislation and current accounting standards.
Analyzes consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
Tax Management
Overseas and directs the tax management across the Group companies.
Monthly Tax Filing of companies across the group (VAT-WHT)
Annual Tax Filing of companies across the group (Corporate Tax -Zakat).
Compliance to legislation and being updated.
Annual Audit
Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual report.
Banking Relationship
Maintain relationships with the banks.
Oversea the lending banking relationships.
Leadership Responsibilities
Manage the team in the respective areas of Finance and Accounts department.
Ensure meeting their respective job objectives and direct them for any improvement.
