One of Bahrain's leading consulting firms is looking for an experienced Corporate Finance Professional to join their highly regarded Advisory function. The role will sit at the Director / Associate Partner level and lead the service line locally.
The role itself has tremendous variety and the successful candidate will work across a broad scope of engagements. The market is relatively small so the team is not separately into different service lines so the successful candidate will work on engagements such as M&A, Valuations, Transaction Services, Restructuring and IPO Advisory.
Bahrain as a location is often described by those as a hidden gem. Most people think of Dubai when considering this region but Bahrain has so much to offer. The country is around 45% ex-pat and boasts a very welcoming local community which makes it an easy location to settle into for those relocating, is it safe, tax-free, a great travel hub, it also hosts the F1 each year and is close to Saudi for those interested in attending the increasing amount of global sporting events held there.
I should add that Bahrain is a less expensive place to live than some of the other firms in the region so it doesn't pay quite as high as places like Dubai / Saudi, but your disposable income is absolutely on par. The firm also offers annual flights home, schooling fees (if applicable) and various allowances for those who will be relocating
The role
Experience in delivering valuation, corporate finance (equity/debt raising, M&A, IPO advisory) and transactions (due diligence) advisory services.
Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis
Lead assignments locally, reporting into the Managing Partner and Head of Advisory
Manage and lead a small, growing team locally and support the development of junior staff
Establishing credibility with clients/targets as a representative of the business
Develop strong relationships with clients to identify business development opportunities
Contribute to the effective working of the team and development of team morale
Ensure that risk documentation is completed for all jobs on a timely basis as per the applicable
Lead the development of financial models
Support delivery of valuation engagements including for audit clients
Requirements - please note I've kept these as the mandatory requirements and applicants must tick all of these boxes to be considered:
A University Degree
An industry relevant qualification - the preference is for the CFA though a chartered / public accounting qualification is also acceptable
A proven track record in a senior position within a global accounting or advisory
Experience at Director level or Equivalent
A successful track record of business development
