Gate Gourmet Belgium NV, a part of the gategroup and an international leader in airline catering, is seeking a Head of Supply Chain to join our team in Brussels. As the Head of Supply Chain, your main responsibilities will include overseeing the proper functioning of the Supply Chain, encompassing Procurement, Food Planning, and Warehousing. You will be responsible for managing these functions to ensure goods are ordered, checked, received, organized, and delivered in a timely, correct, safe, and cost-effective manner. Daily operations will need to be evaluated to optimize stocks and order deliveries efficiently. Additionally, you will develop and implement logistic processes that support operational efficiency while ensuring appropriate manpower planning for short-, mid-, and long-term needs.
In terms of procurement activities, you will lead the management of the entire sourcing process from selecting qualified suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing supplier transitions effectively. Your role will involve preparing annual procurement plans for tenders, customer menu presentations, and projects while analyzing new suppliers' offerings for cost-effectiveness. Negotiating contracts with key suppliers based on defined pricing structures will be crucial as you monitor and enhance their ongoing performance. Furthermore, you will work on developing concepts, products, and services while maintaining accurate product costs based on standard labor and material costs.
