Our client, a global supplier and manufacturer of furniture products, is currently seeking an experienced Project Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in ERP implementation within commercial-manufacturing companies and possess strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a new ERP system and managing the complex change management associated with this transition. In addition to this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of various projects within set timelines and budgets. This entails coordinating resources, team members, contractors, and consultants to ensure project delivery aligns with objectives while maintaining quality control throughout each project's life cycle.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, your key responsibilities will include defining project scope, developing comprehensive project plans, communicating effectively with stakeholders and team members, estimating required resources, managing project budgets, providing leadership to project teams, delivering progress reports and proposals, coaching team members for optimal performance accountability. Moreover, you will engage with stakeholders regularly to manage expectations efficiently and resolve any arising issues or conflicts within the project team.
To excel in this role, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related technical fields alongside at least 5 years of IT project management experience. Possessing certifications such as PMP or equivalent would be advantageous. Proficiency in ERP implementation within commercial-manufacturing settings is crucial along with expertise in Change Management practices. Strong leadership skills coupled with problem-solving abilities are essential for success in managing multiple projects simultaneously using methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
