Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing who will be responsible for the overall strategic management of the hotel by establishing effective working relationships in different departments. Focused mostly on Sales, Meeting & Events, Revenue Management, Reservations and Marketing departments. In this position, you ensure the development and implementation of strategy to attract guests and increase overall revenue within the hotel. This role reports directly to the General Manager in strategic planning and overall business goals.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Lead the commercial team to develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and profit;
- Lead and manage the commercial team providing guidance, coaching and support to achieve individual and team targets;
- Provide support and advice to the General Manager in strategic planning and overall business goals related to business development issues of the brand and the hotel, protecting and guarding corporate standards, brand integrity, and hotel image;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business opportunities and drive customer satisfaction;
- Monitor sales and marketing performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and present findings to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement;
- Support the Revenue Manager to establish an optimal mix, review and validate forecasts, develop strategies for different demand periods, review and approve retail and group pricing strategies;
- Identify new market opportunities, trends, and customer needs to develop innovative strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives;
- Analyze market data, competitive intelligence and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales and marketing strategies accordingly;
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics;
- Monitor and manage sales budgets, expenses, and resources;
- Working closely with all the different departments within the hotel;
- Ensuring all brand standards of the brand are kept;
