We are currently seeking an Evaluation Specialist to join our team in Kenya.

As an Evaluation Specialist with FAO, you will play a crucial role in assessing projects in an international organizational setting, particularly those financed by the GEF. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in forestry, economics, policy development, geography, agronomy, or a related field. You should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project evaluation. Proficiency in English is essential for this role.

Candidates with work experience in Sao Tome and Principe are highly desired for this position. Fluency in Portuguese is a requirement as the report is expected to be delivered in English. Preference will be given to residents of Sao Tome and Principe. Additionally, familiarity with evaluating policy and development initiatives such as Carbon financing schemes, forest landscape restoration initiatives, sustainable land management initiatives, capacity building related to forestry projects, and public-private partnerships is essential.
