We are currently seeking a Junior Communications Consultant to join our team in Kenya. Reporting to the Communications Unit Team Leader, the Junior Communications Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting communication and advocacy strategies aimed at increasing awareness of UN Women's work among partners, media outlets, and the general public. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital communication, event coverage, photography, videography, graphic design, content management, knowledge sharing initiatives, advocacy campaigns support, capacity building activities within the team.

The successful candidate for this position must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Communications or related field along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in communications and advocacy strategies. Proficiency in English and Kiswahili is required for this role. Additionally, familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools is essential. Key Job Requirements:

• At least 1 year of progressively responsible experience in providing support to the formulation and implementation of internal and external communications and advocacy strategies
• Experience in the use of social media and digital communications
• Experience in computer applications such as Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism or a related field is an asset
