Director of Accounting

Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking for a talented and exceptionally skilled Director of Accounting to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will manage the financial accounting function.
Duties may include but will not be limited to:

Periodical preparation and signing off the Financial Statements

Liaison with external auditors and coordinating the various activities to ensure a clean audit report

Have a good working methodology in terms of commercial banking and being able to liaise with the banking sector

Accuracy of the cash flow forecast preparation

Ensuring controls in place pertaining to the cash transactions at the company

Ensuring impromptu cash counts are done

Inventory management experience

Strict control and ensuring approvals received for all payments

Good management of accounts receivable and ensuring terms are met

Ensure that all applicable accounting entries have been done and that the General ledger reconciliations comply to IFRS standards

Review of payroll accounting, payments, and master data

To be aware of company and country taxation requirements, or pending legislation

Standardization and documentation of the processes within the department and documentation of the standard operating procedures

Ensure correct safety standards are upheld in office and when the candidate is on site

CPA or MBA or CMA + Finance related certificates
