Position Summary
As a key member of the senior leadership team you are responsible to oversee all company financial activities to ensure it stays in strong financial standing and ensuring the business is supported on all financial matters and ensuring that all financial obligations are met.
Scope and Responsibilities
Financial/Legal
1. Ensure full review of the financial reporting and internal controls on the monthly basis.
2. Ensure compliance with local financial standards, laws, and regulations.
3. Overall responsibility for financial planning within LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort to ensure profitable growth.
4. Setting and delivering the EBITDA financial targets for the Resort.
5. Drive the annual budgeting process for the division, including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash-flow.
6. Compiling and submission of year-end accounts, along with ensuring a smooth year-end audit process.
7. Target setting for business units within the Park.
8. Ensure Management accounts are delivered on time, in full for the business.
9. Regular financial reporting and forecasting both internally and for The Company. Direct production of accurate and timely information for the management team to aid operational delivery i.e. Flash reports, PP tools, etc.
10. Preparing analysis and qualitative comments based on financial performance.
11. Ensure that Profit and Loss budgets are strictly controlled and managed, and that cost savings plan and forecasts are produced and updated, as required.
12. Ensure that Cash-flow and Net Working Capital are monitored and controlled and that accurate forecasts are prepared on an ongoing basis.
13. Ensure that appropriate controls operate within each Business to safeguard company assets and ensure that agreed Operating Standards are adhered to.
14. Ensure the Resort complies with all Group-wide authority limits and that all legal matters are reviewed internally (and externally when necessary) by competent persons with the appropriate level of authority.
15. Ensure that Year End Reporting Packs and tax obligations for the legal entities within the Resort are met on time and in full
16. Support the Divisional Director in driving the Annual budgeting process and Business Plan process.
17. Ensure that capital expenditure is monitored and controlled during each annual cycle.
18. Work with the Business Managers and Group Finance to develop and improve financial and reporting systems and processes on an ongoing basis.
19. Ensuring LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort meets external & internal audit compliance standards and enhances profit protection standards across the business.
Operations
Play an active and visible part of the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Leadership team with pro-active input and financial support to a business decision.
Ensure an efficient, visible, and disciplined Profit Protection operation in the Resort.
Oversee the coordination of all legal & insurance matters including information for renewals and claims.
Knowledge of the business IT infrastructure to ensure operational support and development of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.

People
Undertake employee management of all direct and indirect reports and ensure all outputs of LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort are produced to the required standard and within the set deadlines.
Ensure appropriate training, development, and coaching is in place, such that all employees have full ownership of their remit and can utilize their full potential.
Ensure that all PDPs are reviewed regularly to enable staff to work effectively towards clearly defined objectives.
Take care of staff motivation and welfare on an ongoing basis.
Undertake appropriate succession and contingency planning.
Develop a customer-focused team that delivers a high standard of service to the management team of the resort
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree within Accounting/Finance or CPA and MBA
Must be a MIA or MICPA, CIMA, ACCA Member
At least Ten (10) years of extensive experience in a senior management role and a strong ability to lead HOD & Senior Managers
Strong and empowered leadership competency level, brand & guest focused, strong entrepreneurial spirit, financially savvy, able to execute brilliantly, possess change agility mind-set, lead inclusively, and a credible expert.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Requires strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated success in project management skills, including Capex budgeting.
Must possess strong management skills, including selecting, training, developing and retaining highly engaged people.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products & financial/accounting systems.
