We are currently seeking a talented Financial Analyst to join our team and support the day-to-day financial operations of our beverage business in Bahrain & Oman.
As a Financial Analyst at ACCBC, you will play a crucial role in P&L management, commercial analytics, and monthly book closing processes. You will work closely with the commercial teams to provide data-driven insights and timely financial reporting that drive performance and strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include monitoring P&L performance, analyzing variances, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring accurate month-end closing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. P&L Monitoring and Financial Reporting:
- Track daily and monthly P&L performance focusing on sales, gross margin, and overheads.
- Analyze actual vs. forecast/budget performance and identify key drivers to the Senior Finance Manager.
- Prepare monthly business review decks and performance summaries.
2. Commercial Finance & Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies and promotion plans.
- Assist in customer/channel profitability analysis to support pricing decisions.
- Monitor commercial KPIs such as volume performance and ROI on activations.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning Support:
- Support annual budgeting processes by consolidating inputs from various functions.
- Maintain planning files, assumptions, and variance bridges across scenarios.
4. Month-End Close & Control Support:
- Coordinate with the central Finance team for accurate month-end closing procedures.
- Ensure proper capture of commercial accruals (trade spend, marketing) for financial reporting.
- Review and reconcile key P&L accounts relevant to the commercial function.
5. Data Management & Tools:
- Develop financial models and dashboards for tracking business performance.
- Utilize Excel, Power BI or similar tools to enhance data visibility and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG environment with exposure to commercial finance or FP&A roles.
- Familiarity with Gulf market operations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
