Senior Project Engineer

Technip Energies, a leading company in the oil and gas industry, is currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Qatar. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and leading assigned projects for our clients in Qatar from the conceptual phase to completion and handover through effective planning. You will organize multidiscipline engineering teams from internal and/or external contractors and consultants, ensuring timely development of all related activities while meeting quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements. Reporting hierarchically to the Senior Manager Project and operationally to the Head of Department/Line Manager, you will interact with various stakeholders internally such as the Project Development Team, as well as externally with contractors or vendors.

The ideal candidate for this role must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline from a recognized institution or university. A project management certification such as PMP is preferred along with 15 years of relevant work experience in project management and execution within the oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore projects). Technical skills in engineering principles, project management principles, risk management, contractors and resources management, as well as knowledge of local safety rules and regulations are essential. Effective communication, interpersonal skills, coaching abilities, negotiation skills, problem-solving capabilities, planning skills, expert judgement, and proficiency in written and spoken English are also required.
