Electrical Engineering Lead

Our client, a prominent player in the consulting and advisory services industry, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lead to join their team on a contract basis in Doha. As the Electrical Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing electrical engineering activities for an Offshore Project. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that technical requirements align with project deliverables and standardized processes, guaranteeing compliance with contract requirements across various engineering aspects.

Key Accountabilities include leading Electrical Engineering activities for the Offshore Project, supervising the Engineering interface between different teams involved in the project, and ensuring that design recommendations are correctly implemented. You will work closely with Contractors to oversee Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) Engineering, and Gas and MEG Pipeline designs. Additionally, your role will involve participating in key design workshops to provide valuable insights into Electrical design aspects.

To excel in this position, you should possess an Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent qualification along with at least 10 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Lead within the oil and gas industry. Your expertise should encompass a broad knowledge of engineering execution practices, including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction, and operations. Previous experience in Brownfield engineering and execution will be advantageous for this role.

• 10+ years of relevant experience as Electrical Lead
• Previous knowledge of Brownfield engineering and execution required
• Experience in major project environment within the oil and gas industry
• Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent
• Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria
• Relevant work experience may waive technical or knowledge requirements
