Our Oil and Gas client in Qatar is looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join the team of high-performing professionals. The CFO will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping the firm to analyse, strategize and grow the financial position. As a member of the senior management, the CFO will be in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.
The CFO will be working closely with the CEO of the firm.
Responsibilities Include
Contribute to the formulation of the firms overall strategy, and support its implementation, through aligning the Finance divisional strategy with the corporate strategy.
Ensure that the Finance divisional strategy is translated into annual operational business plans, as well as direct and manage the implementation of those plans, and follow up their progress, and take corrective actions as needed.
Provide shared leadership and vision to the organization, its employees, and other key stakeholders in the development and continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Advise on selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors) to attend to the firms needs and requirements.
As a member of the Board, raise and provide advice on financial implications of business activities.
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes at an organizational and departmental level.
Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the firm including: organizational revenue/expense, monthly closings and financial statement, balance sheet reports and other management reports.
Manage processes for financial forecasting, annual and quarterly consolidation and reporting to the Board.
Monitor banking activities of the organization.
Support operations in providing liquidity analysis, cash flow capacity, and risk associated with bidding for projects or acquiring new business.
Oversee the issuance of critical financial information to ensure accurate representation of data.
Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available such that all purchases may pass independent and governmental audits.
Champion effective leadership in order to manage direct subordinates’ performance, recruitment and development, and to ensure their understanding of their role in achieving both the divisional and the firms overall strategy.
Direct compliance to all relevant HSE and risk management policies, procedures and controls to ensure that the firm provides a safe, world class, secure and environmentally responsible service to customers, the public and its own people.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or in a related discipline
Master’s Degree or specialized certificates
Experience
15+ years of related experience of which a minimum of 8-10 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry
