Our client, a leading company in Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh, is currently seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team. As a Chief Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing financial statements and reports, maintaining accounting records accurately, coordinating external audits, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
As the Chief Accountant, your responsibilities will include participating in the preparation of financial statements and reports while overseeing the entry and maintenance of accounting records. You will be responsible for maintaining general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, accounts payables, fixed assets, prepayments, bank and petty cash. Furthermore, you will collaborate with different departments to develop and implement financial management goals, policies, priorities, and procedures. Your role will also involve handling direct and indirect taxes efficiently to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
To qualify for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field along with 6-8 years of relevant experience. Detailed knowledge of IFS (Integrated Financial System) is essential for this role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel; Word, and PowerPoint is required. Additionally, you should possess good knowledge of both direct and indirect taxes. Fluency in English is necessary to communicate effectively within the organization. Experience in employee management would be an added advantage.
