Project Director - Urban Regeneration M/F

SOCOTEC, a leading Testing, Inspection, and Certification company in the Construction, Infrastructure, and Industry sectors, is seeking a dedicated Project Director for the Urban Regeneration Project in central Riyadh. Our mission is to support clients throughout the asset cycle by ensuring compliance, extending lifespan, improving environmental performance, and guaranteeing safety. As part of a 50-person PMO consortium revitalizing central Riyadh, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of 15 professionals to align with strategic goals, maintain quality standards, control costs effectively, and manage resources efficiently.

As the Project Director for Urban Regeneration at SOCOTEC KSA in Riyadh, your responsibilities include financial management to ensure costs align with budgetary constraints. You will supervise project costs through Work-in-Progress reports and oversee invoicing processes while tracking cash flows. Operational oversight involves defining project scope aligned with client expectations and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress. Human resources management includes leading and mentoring a team of 15 professionals to meet project objectives efficiently.

Client and stakeholder management are crucial aspects of this role where you will serve as the primary contact for local authorities and government agencies. Regular updates on project progress are essential while maintaining collaboration with consortium members. Reporting status updates on financial performance and risk assessments is vital for senior management review. Compliance with regulations and safety standards is imperative to ensure project success.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related fields with 10-15 years of experience in project management within large-scale urban regeneration projects. Strong leadership skills are required along with financial acumen in budgeting and forecasting. Proficiency in English is mandatory while Arabic proficiency is an advantage but not necessary.
