Role Objective:
The key responsibility of the job holder is to aid the Retail expansion in line with business growth plans, by identifying and acquiring new properties at national/ regional level, negotiate and renew leases and ensure compliance on all related processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Support head of leasing in scouting for local properties / establishments and perform due diligence of prospective sites for retail space and store set up.
- Liaise with the Legal department to work out the legal aspects of the agreement seeking clarifications on legal / financial / other commercial terms
- Source technical drawings / MEP details to finalize layouts with the Mall management / property developers
- Regular meetings with stakeholders like management team/concept heads/LL’s on the way forward
- Support the team in preparing feasibilities for new stores
- Support the head of leasing for negotiating rents / leases and commercial terms with mall / retail site owners / proprietors on behalf of the Group within the prescribed financial guidelines.
- Finalize rent / lease agreements, clauses with the internal and external legal department and the property developers
- Mitigate risks of cost increase of the rental properties
- Candidate should be qualified CA with relevant experience in similar field and capacity.
- Preferably with GCC experience.
