Summary:
The Associate Director of Hospitality Development will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design and development of hospitality projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position requires a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, project management expertise, design sensibility, and the ability to navigate the unique cultural and regulatory landscape of Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and oversee all phases of hospitality development projects, from concept development and feasibility studies to design, construction, and project handover.
Design Oversight: Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and consultants to ensure that design concepts align with the company's brand standards, market trends, and cultural sensitivities in Saudi Arabia.
Financial Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within the allocated financial resources.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, government officials, contractors, and consultants.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local regulations, building codes, and permitting requirements in Saudi Arabia.
Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the Saudi Arabian hospitality sector.
Feasibility Studies: Evaluate the financial viability of potential projects and make recommendations based on market analysis and financial projections.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the highest standards of design and construction.
Sustainability: Integrate sustainable practices and environmental considerations into project design and development.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Hospitality Management. Master's degree preferred.
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in hospitality development or a related field, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region.
Skills:
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Deep understanding of the hospitality industry and market trends in Saudi Arabia.
Knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and cultural sensitivities.
Proficiency in project management software and design tools.
Fluency in English and Arabic is highly preferred.
