About the job
To oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting activities within the company. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the financial health and integrity of the company.


Responsibility:


Overseeing, preparing, and presenting financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement. They ensure that financial reports are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
Participation in the budgeting process, helping to create and manage the budget for the organization. They may also be involved in financial forecasting to project future financial performance.
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. They may provide financial analysis to support decision-making within the organization.
Establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions. This includes monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
Oversee tax compliance and reporting, ensuring the organization complies with all tax laws and regulations. This includes preparing and filing tax returns and coordinating with external tax advisors.
Liaising with external auditors during the annual audit process. They provide auditors with the necessary financial documentation and assist in addressing any audit findings.
Selecting, implementing, and maintaining financial accounting software systems to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
Leading and supervising a team of accountants and financial professionals. They provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for their team members.
Manage the organization's cash flow, ensuring that there is sufficient liquidity to meet financial obligations while optimizing the use of available funds.
Assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This may involve evaluating insurance coverage or other risk management techniques.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards is critical. This includes staying up to date with changes in accounting rules and regulations.
Contribute to the development of the organization's financial strategy, helping to set financial goals and objectives.
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and cost savings for the organization.
Communicating financial information to various stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and investors.
processing improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.


Requirements:


Specification: bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
Years of Experience: 5 to 10 years or more in the field of construction, out of which at least 7 years in a leading position.
Professional certificates are preferable. (CPA-ACCA-CA-IFRS)
Proficient user of IT systems (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Access, etc.)
Experienced user of project management reporting applications - Power BI
Time management, organization, and prioritization skills and the ability to be organized in prioritizing, planning, and agreeing on activities.
Excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
Strong team player and collaborator with the ability to balance teamwork and independent project assignments.
Leadership skills to set clear goals, motivate direct and indirect teams, and produce superior results under challenging schedules.
Experience in start-up ventures is also highly desirable.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
