Role Purpose :
The Sr. Financial Analyst will focus on monthly management accounts and budget data. Provide ongoing support and direction for the budget holders as well as investigating and reporting on variances. will be responsible for a wide range of activities including gathering data, organizing information, analyzing historical results, making forecasts and projections, assist with coordinating financial/budgeting activities across NEOM Operations. presentations, and reports. The role will be responsible to ensure all NEOM Operations Accruals, budget reports, and other financial performance deliverables are executed on time.
Key Accountabilities & Activities :
Supporting the Accounting Operations Manager in consolidating financial monthly performance reports and forecasts, through analysing trends and variances in accordance with the NEOM Operations monthly financial timetable.
Support in the development of NEOM Ops Annual Budget Plan and the performance monitoring and reporting against the annual department budget.
Assist in managing the capital and operating expenditures budget and lifecycle processes through control measures, procedures, and policies (to develop if required)
Monitor, analyze, and report in collaboration with Finance monthly operational and capital programs expenditures compared to budget; highlight major variations and develop plans to address potential overruns or risks.
Undertaking periodic reviews of the financial controls within NEOM Ops and prepare reports and risk assessments based on information gathered.
Meeting regularly with Budget Holders and to provide information and analysis to them and support the Accounting Operations Manager in collaborating with Finance Reporting to consolidate and prepare NEOM major financial reports and plans including Annual Budget, Capital Budget, Monthly, Quarterly Budget Reforecast, Operational Reviews, and other routine and ad hoc reports.
Support Accounting Operations Manager during the monthly NEOM Operations accrual process by working across NEOM Operations and Finance to ensure the accruals are accurate and timely.
Identify trends, advise company and recommend actions to Accounting Operations Manager based on sound analysis.
Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecast.
Comply with the approved NEOM wide Finance & Accounting policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience :
Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst.
Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
Proven knowledge of financial forecasting, variances, and information analysis.
Strong ability using Excel and any other management tools is also desirable.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management, prioritization and efficiency skills.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Finance and Administration or accounting.
Excellent organizational skills, with high attention to detail and ability to function independently and take initiative.
Verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of individuals.
Strong data collection and reporting skills.
Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications :
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Master’s degree in Finance a plus.
Certification in Financial Management or Accounting (i.e. CMA, CIMA or CPA) are a plus
