Overview:
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control within our ready mix concrete production facility. You will lead a team of quality control technicians and collaborate closely with production, engineering, and logistics teams to maintain product consistency, compliance with specifications, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections, tests, and audits of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
Training and Development: Train and mentor quality control technicians on testing methods, equipment operation, and quality standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
Non-Conformance Management: Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues, customer complaints, and quality-related incidents, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken, preparing reports for management review and regulatory compliance.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality and reliability of incoming materials and components, conducting supplier audits and performance evaluations as required.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement, implementing best practices and initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
12 years of experience in quality control roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in ready mix concrete or construction materials.
Thorough understanding of quality management systems, quality control methodologies, and statistical analysis techniques.
Experience with quality testing equipment, tools, and software systems.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to quality and compliance.
Certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) are a plus.
