As the Director of Public Realm, you will report directly to the Executive Director of City Design Integration and be responsible for overseeing the coordination of architectural, public realm, infrastructure, and technical design elements. Your main objective will be to ensure that these elements align harmoniously to create a fully functional and visually cohesive city. This role requires an experienced leader with a passion for large-scale urban developments and a proven track record in delivering high-quality design integration.
Key responsibilities include managing design coordination across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with NEOM's high standards of quality and sustainability, acting as a central point of communication between design teams and external stakeholders, maintaining project timelines and quality control, refining design strategies with senior leadership, and guiding team members within the City Design Coordination function.
We are looking for candidates with at least 25 years of experience in architecture, urban planning or related fields, expertise in urban design and infrastructure integration, proven leadership experience in design management across multidisciplinary teams, strong communication and problem-solving skills, familiarity with sustainable urban design practices and emerging technologies.
