As a Lead Geologist at Ma'aden, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, schedule, budget, and execution of grade control and resource evaluation programs. Your role will involve supervising mine geologists, geotechnicians, and drilling contractors to ensure the successful implementation of these programs. Additionally, you will serve as the 'Competent Person' for public reporting of 'Exploration Results,' adhering to industry standards such as JORC Code 2012.
To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor's Degree in an Earth Science-related discipline and have at least 10 years of experience as a Geologist. Proficiency in open pit and/or underground mine geology, structurally complex gold epithermal systems, and international experience is highly desirable. You should also possess advanced knowledge of mineral deposit types, data management software such as Acquire and ArcGIS, as well as resource estimation methodology.
In this position, your key accountabilities will include overseeing drilling programs, developing grade control processes, conducting research & development for new solutions implementation, training direct reports on technical aspects and safety protocols. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environment statutory requirements while fostering leadership qualities within your team.
