Senior Process Safety Engineer

Peak Ocean Pte Ltd, a leading company in the oil and gas sector in Singapore, is currently seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Process Safety Engineer at Peak Ocean Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in contributing to process safety teams on proposals/projects. Your responsibilities will include developing and reviewing HSSE Design Philosophy, ensuring compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory standards for safety-related systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing Bow-Ties workshops, managing risk consultants/subcontractors, and coordinating risk assessments to ensure facility risks are properly assessed.

You will collaborate with project teams to achieve Project/Engineering Performance Goals defined for the year/project. It is essential that you communicate effectively with clients, resolve non-conformities during audits, manage changes according to procedures, and identify lessons learned for improved project execution. Furthermore, you will guide the development of process safety engineers to enhance technical competencies and soft skills.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in Process Safety engineering in the oil and gas sector with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering. Alternatively, a master’s degree requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience while a diploma holder must have at least 12 years of relevant working experience. This position is offered as a contract role with a duration of 24 months.

• Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in Process Safety engineering in the oil and gas sector for a bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering, or minimum 6 years of relevant working experience for a master’s degree, or minimum 12 years of relevant working experience for a diploma holder.
