Job Summary:
As the Financial Director at Southern Fort Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of the organisation. You will be responsible for implementing and improving financial systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
· Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
· Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Financial Reporting:
· Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, performance reports, and variance analyses.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
Cash Flow Management:
· Manage and optimise cash flow to support daily operations and strategic initiatives.
· Implement effective cash management procedures and controls.
Risk Management:
· Identify and assess financial risks, proposing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to financial activities.
· Implement and maintain robust financial systems and controls.
· Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
· Manage any legal contracts relevant to the finance role.
Strategic Financial Planning:
· Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with overall business objectives.
· Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Tax Planning:
· Understand industry tax regulation and allowances to optimise the company's tax position.
· Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Compliance and Auditing:
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
· Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
Outsourced Services Management:
· Manage and monitor the services provided by HR and IT service providers.
Team Leadership:
· Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
· BCom Accounting or similar financial degree.
· Registered CA(SA) or similar professional qualifications are an advantage.
· Proven experience in a senior financial management role, preferably within the property management or real estate industry.
· Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting practices, and regulatory compliance.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
