Sorbet, a beauty business under the Clicks Group umbrella, is a prominent health, beauty, and wellness retailer in South Africa. We are currently seeking a National Operations Manager to oversee all Sorbet Stores nationwide. This role will be based at the Sorbet Offices in Woodmead and report to the Managing Executive: Franchising. The ideal candidate will possess a strong focus on operational excellence, strategic planning, and effective communication to drive the success of our franchise network.
As the National Operations Manager for Sorbet, your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing Operations Strategy aligned with overall Group and Brands strategies, managing annual turnover and operating budgets, leading recruitment and selection of franchise partners, driving corporate store management and growth to meet turnover goals, and managing Quality Assurance projects through the regional team. You will also enhance operating capabilities to exceed guest satisfaction levels while ensuring national operational standards ratings are achieved. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting rental negotiations with landlords and franchise partners, implementing marketing programs at various levels, developing financial benchmarks for best operating practices among franchisees, managing customer queries through the customer service department, introducing initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction with the Sorbet brand, coordinating regional/national franchisee meetings, overseeing IT enhancement projects with Franchise Partners.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess a suitable tertiary qualification preferably a bachelor’s degree along with 5-7 years of previous management experience in Retail or Beauty industry leadership roles. You should have a strong track record of success in franchising industry management as well as delivering growth and profitability for brands.
