As an Engineering Manager at E & M Resourcing, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development and implementation of best practice maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for delegating maintenance tasks effectively, developing Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules, managing internal and external work to maximize planned downtime, and ensuring machine availability while maintaining high standards of data accuracy. Additionally, you will oversee the introduction and disposal of machinery, attend meetings, produce reports, identify business improvement opportunities, provide technical expertise, manage contractors, ensure compliance with safety policies, and reduce breakdowns while improving reliability and safety.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing Maintenance team to achieve agreed objectives and continuous improvements. You will set department objectives and KPIs, review performance metrics of direct reports, report on target achievements while identifying necessary actions for improvement. Your responsibilities will include promoting high standards through personal example, ensuring adequate staffing levels, motivating the team for success through coaching and monitoring task completion. Furthermore, you will manage financial budgets for maintenance activities by preparing annual budgets and forecasts while overseeing all capital expenditure proposals from project identification to completion.
