Our South African operations represent the first successful commercial bamboo plantation in the country. As we continue our expansion efforts by restoring 4,500 hectares of bamboo in the Eastern Cape region, we are seeking an Operations Project Manager to oversee our bamboo operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this leadership role requires meticulous attention to detail and exceptional project management skills to ensure operational targets are met on time, within budget, and at high quality standards. The ideal candidate will need to coordinate various moving parts within tight timeframes based on distinct climatic conditions.
The Operations Project Manager will be responsible for managing operational planning and implementation processes by setting clear targets for all activities while ensuring efficient resource utilization. Additionally, this role involves overseeing nursery operations to maintain plant quality standards and timely deliveries. The successful candidate will also manage logistics activities related to equipment procurement and stock management while providing regular reports to management teams. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in project management or related fields with extensive experience in project management roles.
