As the Group Executive: Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies that are aligned with the organization's vision. You will oversee group operations to achieve efficiency and service excellence while building strong stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships. In addition, you will lead governance, risk management, and compliance efforts within operations while managing organizational resources for maximum impact.
To excel in this role, you must bring extensive knowledge and expertise in business operations leadership and large-scale transformation initiatives within the transport and infrastructure industry. Your core skills should include executive leadership in a multi-functional organization with strong problem-solving abilities, decision-making skills, analytical capabilities, high-level negotiation expertise, and experience leading major operational transformation projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a postgraduate qualification (NQF 8) in Business Administration, Engineering, Transport Management or Economics along with at least 15 years of experience in operations leadership, including 5 years at an executive level. Extensive experience leading major transformation projects is essential for success in this role. A Master’s degree (MBA/MBL) would be an added advantage. Additionally, candidates must be available 24/7 with flexibility for extended working hours and willing to travel locally and internationally as required.
