As an Operations Manager for Warehouse Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day operations, including inventory control, staff supervision, picking, inbound & outbound logistics, safety compliance, and continuous process improvement. You will lead a team, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. The selected candidate will undergo a 3-month attachment program that provides comprehensive exposure to all areas of warehouse operations before transitioning to a specific department based on strengths and interests.
Key responsibilities include managing daily warehouse operations such as receiving, picking, storage, inbound & outbound logistics while ensuring smooth coordination of delivery schedules and inventory accuracy. You will oversee inventory levels to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory while implementing systems for monitoring movement and accuracy. Staff supervision involves training, scheduling, performance evaluation, leadership development within the team by creating a positive work environment.
Safety protocols adherence is essential along with conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions promptly. Process improvement initiatives are key to enhancing operational processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams like procurement and customer service. Reporting on warehouse performance metrics using relevant technologies like Warehouse Management Software (WMS) is also part of the role.
We are looking for candidates with tertiary qualifications along with two to three years of experience in an operational role preferred. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP are necessary for this position.
