As the Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing employees on the use of tools, equipment, and resources. You will ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, as well as EHS regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customers and the company. Additionally, you will identify training and development opportunities for production foremen and their teams while monitoring progress against key performance indicators (KPIs). It will be crucial for you to ensure that all standards and customer commitments, such as safety measures, waste reductions, and output targets, are followed within the plant.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess a Degree (BSC, B.Eng.) in Chemical/Electrical/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering along with 5 years of experience in a Production or Process discipline in a continuous process manufacturing environment. Additionally, 3 years of experience in a management/leadership role is required. Knowledge of ISO9000 ISO14000 and OSHAS18000 systems is essential, along with computer literacy and WCM experience for internal applicants. Strong communication skills are also necessary as exposure to working in a unionized environment will set you apart.
