Data Centre Project Manager - Contract

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Work Arrangement: Hybrid working model, with 3 days on-site.

Contract Duration: 12 months (possibility of 24 months)

Compensation: Day rates are negotiable.

Our client is a leading Technology consultancy who are working on a global banking operation undergoing strategic transformation to merge and streamline their Data Centre portfolio. With a commitment to innovation, they are looking for experienced Data Centre Project Managers to join a dynamic team based in Switzerland.

As a Data Centre Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the consolidation, decommissioning, and merging of our data centres, ensuring a seamless transition while optimising efficiency and minimizing disruption to operations. This position demands expertise in project management methodologies, coupled with in-depth knowledge of data centre operations, consolidation strategies, and mergers. In this position, you will take charge of steering the non-physical aspects of our data centre environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end project management activities related to data centre consolidation, decommissioning, and mergers.
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and minimize project impact.
Implement robust communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of project progress, milestones, and changes.
Monitor project performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular status reports and updates to senior management.
