We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering to join a luxury hotel in Istanbul. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our engineering team, ensuring top-notch safety, security, and maintenance standards are maintained throughout the hotel premises. Your primary duties will include leading and managing the daily engineering and maintenance operations, developing eco-friendly systems to enhance operational efficiency, training and supervising a talented team of 38 engineering staff members, ensuring compliance with local laws and safety regulations, creating preventative maintenance programs for all hotel equipment, and driving energy conservation and optimization programs.

To excel in this role, you must have at least 5 years of progressive experience in hotel facilities management. Expertise in HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing maintenance, and general repair is essential. Strong communication skills in both English and Turkish are required as you will be working with a diverse team where Turkish is the primary language spoken. Additionally, excellent leadership abilities along with problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask effectively are crucial for success in this position.
