Roles & Responsibilities
The Regulatory Financial Review Section Head is responsible for managing the review and/or approval of sector subsidy budgets, as well as for reviewing financial statements and financial performance in accordance with applicable regulations, codes, and standards for licensed entities and new license applicants.
Additionally, the Regulatory Financial Review Section Head is responsible for the overall oversight and assessment of licensed companies operating in the sector's financial performance and health.
The Regulatory Financial Review Section Head is in charge of reviewing the audited financial statements of existing licensed companies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, financial and accounting standards, and to determine their financial resources to continue providing secure and efficient services to customers.
Furthermore, the Regulatory Financial Review Section Head is responsible for developing or approving appropriate financial frameworks and methodologies for sector use.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics.
6-8 years in a relevant field.
Deep understanding of the financial activities of the licensed companies within the energy sector.
Deep understanding of the energy sector, in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
Thorough knowledge and experience of financial management and investment analysis and due diligence.
Comprehensive knowledge of best practice financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
