Internal Auditor

Government Entity - Sharjah, located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an Internal Auditor to join their team. As a key player in ensuring operational integrity and efficiency, the Internal Auditor will evaluate financial and operational processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements to enhance overall performance. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities. By focusing on compliance and risk management, the Internal Auditor will contribute to the organization's strategic objectives by ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.

In this role, the Internal Auditor will assist in planning and organizing activities within the Internal Audit Department. They will assess internal controls, identify weaknesses, risks, and participate in auditing processes while maintaining strict confidentiality. Applying professional accounting principles and standards, the Internal Auditor will test financial records, operational systems, and information flows. Additionally, they will establish effective relationships with internal audit staff and other departments while documenting procedures for evaluation of effectiveness and compliance.

The preferred candidate for this position should possess strong analytical skills with problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills are essential along with attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is crucial. Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple tasks effectively while adapting to changing environments. Continuous professional development is encouraged along with an understanding of risk management principles. A professional certification such as CIA or CPA is advantageous.
