As the Group Finance Controller at Averda, you will play a crucial role in various financial aspects of the business. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, financial transactions review and approval, financial performance analysis, supporting group treasury functions, implementing internal controls, tax accounting and compliance reporting. Additionally, you will be responsible for financial reporting and compliance while driving health, safety, and environmental initiatives across business units. People management skills are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance along with a Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA). A Master's Degree in relevant fields is advantageous. You should have at least 10-15 years of financial experience with 3-5 years as a Financial Controller in an international business setting. Experience in large capex businesses within waste management or related industries is preferred. Strong technical knowledge of finance principles and practices is required along with proficiency in MS Suite programs like Excel. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication within the multicultural organization at Averda.
