The Group Finance Manager role at Averda requires exceptional knowledge and extensive experience in managing taxation responsibilities within the Africa and Middle East markets. Responsibilities include overseeing financial operations of business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, compliance with year-end audit requirements, managing accounting policies & procedures, supervising tax specialists in tax planning & filing across business units, managing legislative changes affecting accounting records, as well as people and risk management.
Qualifications for this position include a Master's degree in Finance with exposure to Taxation along with either a CPA or ACCA qualification. Candidates should have at least 8 years of Regional/GCC experience in a similar role, including 4+ years of team management experience and previous work with multinational companies. Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, tax compliance practices, as well as accounting principles are essential for success in this role. Fluency in English is required while proficiency in Arabic or French will be advantageous.
