Charterhouse Middle East, a leading recruitment agency in Dubai, is currently assisting an Oil & Gas client in their search for a Financial Analyst to join their trading and logistics entity within a regional start-up. This role will be based in the middle-office and will involve overseeing various accounting duties related to trade finance activities. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for P&L reporting across the trading platform and product desks. Additionally, they will produce financial analysis and reporting commentaries, support market movements reporting, manage working capital and revenue flows, as well as handle variance-reporting. Moreover, this role will involve supporting trade capture activities and overseeing hedging requirements for commodity and FX trading points.
The ideal candidate for this position would have at least two years of experience in a finance or middle-office environment within an oil & gas or trading-related operation. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of risk management and controllership to ensure proper reporting policies are implemented to support middle and back-office functions. The successful candidate must possess a strong baseline of technical and commercial knowledge to seamlessly integrate into a start-up environment while also serving as a subject matter expert in financial and operational risk areas within the organization.
