Senior Accountant

Our company, a newly established entity in the Oil & Gas sector focusing on projects in Western Africa, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Dubai. As a Senior Accountant, your key responsibilities will include overseeing full-cycle accounting and treasury operations such as bookkeeping, salary processing, and VAT returns. You will be tasked with preparing full sets of accounts, ensuring timely monthly closures, and delivering monthly and quarterly financial reporting for shareholders. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing budgets and forecasts for multiple projects while ensuring compliance with DMCC tax regulations and managing tax reporting across various jurisdictions.

To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation (preferred) along with ACCA / CPA / CA / CMA certification. A minimum of seven years of accounting experience is required, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry or at a multinational corporation. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is essential, with experience in SAP considered advantageous. Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax in the UAE is necessary, while familiarity with other jurisdictions—particularly Western Africa—is beneficial.
