As a Plant General Manager at ENGIE Middle East, you will play a crucial role in leading our world-class facilities towards becoming a benchmark in the industry.

As the Plant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the facility's operations with P&L accountability. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will work closely with the CEO and company shareholders to leverage their experience and resources. Your primary functions will include achieving annual business objectives, maintaining high Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, implementing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with internal processes, developing a high-caliber management team, formulating business plans, overseeing departmental performance, managing talent development, supporting technical obligations, fostering industrial relations and community engagement.

Ideal candidates for this role should hold a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with a minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience in power generation facilities. At least 5 years of experience in a Plant Senior Management role of a CCGT plant over 1000 MW size is required. Proficiency in budget development, commercial contract administration, resolution of technical issues, team management skills are essential. Knowledge of 'F' Class Gas Turbine Generators (GTGs) and high-capacity steam turbines is preferred along with IT proficiency.

Key Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in power generation facilities with at least 5 years in a Plant Senior Management role of a CCGT plant of at least 1000 MW size.
  • Experience with CCGT power plants is preferred.
  • Experience with a multinational corporation in a cross cultural environment is a plus.
Skills:

  • - Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, team management, and coordination skills.
