Plant General Manager

The Plant General Manager at ENGIE Middle East will be responsible for achieving annual business objectives, maintaining high Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, developing maintenance strategies, ensuring compliance with internal processes, overseeing department performance, managing talent development, fostering industrial relations, liaising with regulatory bodies and government agencies. The role requires a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with minimum 15 years of relevant experience in power generation facilities. Strong leadership skills and technical knowledge are essential to make the facility a world-class benchmark.
Key Job Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in power generation facilities with at least 5 years in a Plant Senior Management role of a CCGT plant of at least 1000 MW size.
- Experience with CCGT power plants is preferred.
- Experience with a multinational corporation in a cross cultural environment is a plus.
Skills:
- - Budget development and maintenance.
- - Commercial contract administration.
- - Resolution of complex technical issues and planning of major overhauls.
- - Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, team management, and coordination skills.
- - Knowledge and skills in ‘F’ Class Gas Turbine Generators (GTGs) and high-capacity steam turbines.
- - Proficiency in IT (Windows, SAP) and intermediate applications (MS Office).
