Job Purpose:
Lead and manage Secured Business Loan and Mortgage Backed Finance Team constituting a team of Asst. Managers and ARMs. Actively work with Unit Manager/Unit Head and support the RMs in meeting their pre-set financial and non-financial objectives.
Key Result Areas
Acquire and build quality asset portfolio of relationship clients through Self sourcing Channels and Channel Partners and other Front-end revenue products within the defined target market of Business Banking
Strong Sales force Management experience , Managing a team of 10 -12 Senior BDO' for sales target delivery
Ensuring the productivity of the assigned sales team
Drive the team on enhancing relationship revenue from new and existing portfolio of borrowing and non-borrowing accounts by cross-selling and up-selling products.
Manage existing Assets relationships.
Responsible for the assigned assets, revenue and Fee targets.
Ensuring that the Risk reward equation is maintained by charging optimum pricing as per the segment.
Responsible for quality and soundness of existing portfolio (Monitoring all assets products maturities, KYC reviews, monitoring for due diligence, anti-money laundering procedures etc.)
Identify and segments target market and develop new business to broad base the portfolio and pursue growth opportunities.
Actively provide deal support to the Sales BDO
Assume complete ownership of customer relationship management for the assigned portfolio of accounts. Provide superior customer service.
Liaise with superiors and direct reports within the business unit, Risk Management and related enabler units within the bank to achieve business objectives.
Adhere to all compliance & regulatory policies with regards to KYC/AML etc as set out by the bank from time to time.
Review the existing portfolio in a timely manner and ensure that appropriate credit facilities are recommended in line with the bank’s credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risks to an acceptable level.
Maintain acceptable portfolio quality.
Follow-up and ensure the team implements and maintains completes control aspects i.e. documentation, periodical clients visits / call reports, stock inspections and formal credit checks / informal market feedback to monitor the assigned portfolio effectively.
Undertaking industry and company specific research analysis. Directly interacting with industry participants.
Work with UH, SBDO's, Product team, Branch Service officers, Direct Banking center, Credit, Credit operations, Risk Team etc
Resolve complex customer complaints and analyze root cause.
Liaise with superiors and direct reports within the business unit, Risk Management and related enabler units within the bank to achieve business objectives.
Recommending all new and existing credit lines.
Develop on the job learning curve of Sales Team to enable them to grow professionally and prepare them for higher level of responsibility.
Managing and maintaining high staff morale to ensure superior service delivery and low staff turn-over.
Set job objectives and perform timely review to measure performance and identify staff development and training needs.
To ensure clarity among staff of KPI’s and job competencies required to effectively achieve business goals.
Identify and reward high performers and implement an effective retention program for critical staff.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Complete knowledge and clear understanding of the Bank’s credit policy, operating systems and focus on the Business Banking Segment.
Banking Sales & service experience with proven Team Leader qualities
Requires advanced vocational know-how of the subject matter (viz. Credit, Trade, Operating System, Legal, etc…)
Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
Minimum 12-14 years relevant banking experience in local or international market.
MBA/CA or if a regular graduate needs to possess adequate relevant experience.
