The Head of Finance will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the company. Responsibilities include financial planning, budgeting, reporting, risk management, and collaborating closely with senior leadership to develop strategies that support the company's goals and growth. Key responsibilities for the Head of Finance position include overseeing budget preparation; leading accurate financial statement preparation; ensuring compliance with regulations; providing insightful financial analysis; identifying risks and opportunities; developing internal controls; managing efficient finance department operations; mentoring staff for continuous improvement; optimizing cash flow management; maintaining financial relationships with stakeholders; ensuring adherence to tax laws and corporate governance policies; overseeing audits; supporting strategic initiatives like mergers or acquisitions; and aligning financial objectives with overall business strategy by collaborating across departments.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (Masters or professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA,CFA is a plus) along with 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting including 5+ years in a managerial role. Strong understanding of financial management principles along with proficiency in financial software systems like Netsuite is required. Excellent leadership skills coupled with the ability to think strategically are essential for success in this role.
