As a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Aventus, you will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies across various fixed income instruments such as sovereign and corporate bonds, interest rates, structured products, mortgages, and ABS within the EMEA markets. Your primary goal will be to generate risk-adjusted returns with a Sharpe ratio of 1.5 or above by utilizing fundamental, quantitative, and technical analysis techniques. You will leverage your expertise in rates, credit fundamentals, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and construct high-conviction trade ideas while maintaining a disciplined risk management framework to ensure controlled drawdowns.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record of achieving a Sharpe ratio of 1.5 or above in fixed income trading or portfolio management. You should possess deep knowledge of monetary policy, yield curves, credit spreads, and cross-asset relationships within fixed income markets. Strong quantitative and analytical skills are essential for incorporating data-driven insights into trading strategies. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing fixed income portfolios at hedge funds or asset management firms, along with a degree in finance or related fields, you will play a crucial role in optimizing portfolio construction and enhancing market insights through collaboration with research analysts and execution teams.

• 5+ years of experience managing a fixed income portfolio at a hedge fund
• 5+ years of experience in fixed income trading or portfolio management role
• Experience in rates, sovereign and corporate credit, structured products, mortgages, and ABS
• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, or related field
• Proven track record of a Sharpe ratio of 1.5 or above in fixed income trading or portfolio management role
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
