Averda is the leading waste management and recycling company in the emerging world, operating in India and across the Middle East and Africa. Role Summary
The role demands exceptional knowledge and extensive experience in managing taxation and taxation responsibilities within the Africa and Middle East markets. It involves overseeing the financial operations of business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis, and compliance with year-end audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the Financial operations of Business units
Financial reporting & Analysis including year-end Audit reporting requirements
Manage Accounting Policies & Procedures
Supervise Responsibilities of Tax Specialist in tax planning & filing across business units
Manage Legislative changes and assess implication on accounting records
People and Risk Management
Qualifications
Masters degree in Finance with exposure to Taxation
CPA qualification or ACCA qualification
Experience
8+ years of Regional/GCC experience in a similar role
4+ years experience of managing a team
Experience of working with multinational company
Competencies
Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect taxes and tax compliance.
Strong knowledge of Accounting and tax practices.
Reporting to Directors and Senior Executives
Language Proficiency
English (Fluent)
Arabic (Fluent) will be an advantage
French (Fluent) will be an advantage
