Senior Accountant

Basrah Energy FZE, a leading company in the Oil and Gas sector based in the UAE, is currently looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining optimal cash flow, overseeing inventory levels, conducting reconciliations, recording transactions accurately, and preparing financial statements. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with 3-5 years of accounting experience (preferably in the Oil and Gas sector) and at least 2-3 years of experience working in the UAE. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, with higher qualifications considered a plus. Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with accounting software are essential for this role.

Daily responsibilities will include Accounts Receivable and Payable Management, Inventory Management, Reconciliations, Transaction Recording, Cash Flow Analysis, Cost Centre Profit & Loss Finalization, Audit Support, Tax Compliance Assistance, Financial Statement Preparation, and Management Reporting. The ideal candidate should be proactive, meticulous, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• 3-5 years of accounting experience (Oil and Gas sector experience preferred)
